Small Talk Pediatric Speech Therapy is a privately owned pediatric speech therapy practice offering speech, language, and listening therapy services to children of all ages. We are based in West Hartford, Connecticut.

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (Full-Time) to provide pediatric speech and language therapy services in our West Hartford, Connecticut office. In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment services to children of all ages who are experiencing communication disorders.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess patients' speech and language abilities

  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified deficits

  • Provide one-on-one therapy sessions to help patients improve their communication skills

  • Educate parents and caregivers on the best way to support patients outside of the clinical environment

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to ensure a coordinated approach to patient care

  • Maintain detailed patient records and documentation in accordance with regulatory and insurance requirements

  • Participate in ongoing professional development activities to stay current with best practices in the field

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)

  • Current licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of Connecticut

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Speech Language Pathologist, preferably in a clinical setting

  • Strong clinical skills in the assessment and treatment of a wide range of communication disorders

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with patients, families, and other healthcare providers

  • Proficient in the use of electronic medical record systems and other relevant technology

Salary and Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: $70,000 - $90,000 per year, commensurate with experience
